This is the process of making my 3D Vertical slice in MAYA. I originally made some simple constructs using polygons to make up a variety of scenes, which I then worked with to create concept art. These are the initial sketches and thumbnails, as well as the final illustrative concepts that I have chosen to proceed with in this project. I have recently added the final product. We had a six week time frame to conceptualize, make assets, UV unwrap assets, texture the assets with textures made in photoshop and substance painter and finally render in Maya using rendering techniques in Render man to create a scene that can be observed in a 3 dimensional format.
Finally, we batch rendered our final product with 1080 HD conventions in mind. I textured all of my assets with 2k textures on Substance painter, and imported them manually through the Renderman node process. It was a nice feeling to get it all done and submitted. Yeah!
